Portfolio
At
the end of the first quarter, you will submit a portfolio of work undertaken in
this class. The portfolio will be assessed for strengths and weaknesses and will
be assigned a cumulative grade.
Your
portfolio will contain
- a
written self-evaluation
- your
completed class participation evaluation grid
- a
revision of the Earley voice assignment (according to guidelines still to
come), revised in response to workshop, with drafts and responses attached
- The
House on Mango Street question response
- your
free-choice book response
- three
summer reading responses
- one
revised summer reading response or a new paper-of-many-parts composed in
response to Jim the Boy
- two
independent vocabulary assignments
- two
vocabulary quizzes
